EVO 56 Solar security light review

EVO 56 Solar security light stars
Very powerful solar light | A+ quality | A+ Easy to install | A+ waterproof | A+ Light output | A+ 2.5w Solar panel

The Evo 56 is a high power solar security light.

The big brother to the Evo 36 the Evo 56 is one of the brightest solar lights on the market. The ease of fitting and the versatility of being able to install where mains won't go makes the Evo 56 a very realistic replacement for mains lighting.

The quality of the light is obvious, made from metal with a glass lens the Evo 56 light looks much like a mains security light. It's robust and weather proof with an IP rating of IP44. It is advised to fit the light under eaves of the roof to avoid direct rain downpour and all plugs and connectors must be tightly fitted to be water tight. A smear of vaseline around the seals is a good tip. read the full review…

EVO 36 Solar security light review

EVO 36 Solar security light 5 stars
Very powerful solar light | A+ quality | A+ Easy to install | A+ waterproof | A+ Light output | A+ Good price

The solar panel unit can be mounted flat or folded, on a fence post or a wall and has a fully adjustable swivel joint bracket so it can be angled in any direction to catch the maximum daylight.

The Evo 36 unit is fully weather proof but it is advised to be fitted under the roof eaves to avoid any torrential rain down pours. Set-up is very easy, taking under an hour average: all components, plugs and screws are included and full instructions make it fool-proof. A great tip is to smear a little vaseline (or grease) around the seals to ensure they don't ever leak.

It is recommended that the solar panel for the EVO 36 is fitted to a south facing wall, although this isn't always an option. This can be overcome by using a booster solar panel (sold seperately) and fixing one panel to an east wall and another to the west wall feeding both panels back to the light. This will ensure that the panel has maximum daylight input. read the full review…
