The Efergy E2 energy saving monitor is very easy to use

The sensor is clipped onto the 25mm feed cable where it enters the electricity meter.

No electrician is required, simply clip the sensor around the cable (as shown in the instuction manual)

Plug the sensor cable into the wireless transmitting unit.

Data collected is then sent to a portable wireless monitor unit which can be moved from room to room.

The amount of electricity being used can be updated as often as every six seconds and displayed on the large LCD screen on the monitor unit in £/hour, kWh, or Kg of carbon dioxide.

Efergy E2 FAQ

Q Is the data from the Efergy monitor 100% accurate and reliable?Factory testing shows an accuracy of within 10%. The electric meter readings are within a 5% accuracy, it isn;t 100% accurate beacuse of circuit power factors and not having a voltage reference.

Q Does the device need batteries?The wireless transmiter takes 2 AA batteries and the display unit uses 3AAA batteries. 

Q How long should the batteries last? Expected battery life is 1 year (dependent on brand of batteries used).

Q Do I need an electrician to install the Efergy meter? The sensor is very easy to clip onto the cable coming out of your electrcity meter, with clear instructions showing which cable to clip onto. If for any reason you suspect the safety of the wiring then you should consult a qualified electrician.

Q Can the device monitor Economy-7 or dual tariffs? Yes, the efergy monitor can have up to 4 different tariffs for dual or multiple tariffs.

Q Does it work with three phase? Yes, two additional sensors are required.

Q How long does the device store data for? The efergy E2 has a memory function of up to 8 months.

Q) What is the wireless range? The display unit has a range of 40 meters.

Q Will the e2 software work with Apple Mac? The elink software is not currently compatible with Macs.

Q Will the e2 software work with the new Windows 7 & Windows Vista? The elink software works with Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows Vista, but only in the 32 bit version. Development for 64bit applications is under way.

Q Can I print off the graphs? At the moment there is no tool for printing off the graphs. However it is possible to use the print screen option on the PC to overcome this.
